Action Guidelines

To ensure the safety of all participants, to encourage the broadest and most diverse involvement possible, and to respect the important issues and communities we are supporting, we ask everyone taking part in the Switch off Hazelwood community protest & mass civil disobedience to respect the following action guidelines:

• We will promote a tone of respect, honesty, transparency, and
  accountability in our actions.
• We will use peaceful protest tactics.
• We will be taking mass civil disobedience while looking after the safety and wellbeing of all involved in the event.
• We will all hold each other accountable to respecting these
  agreements.
• We will not consider an action over until every person has been released from police custody, or is free to leave Hazelwood.
• We will not consider this campaign over until any resulting court cases are completed.

We will be organizing skill-share and “know your rights” trainings leading up to the action.
